Since the founding of Berlin, the Jewish community has always been present. Although the passing of the centuries has made them live better and worse moments. Being expelled already in Prussian times, they were allowed and denied their permanence on multiple occasions until Nazism wrote the saddest period in its history. The Berlin Jewish Museum and Quarter tour will make you visually enjoy Jewish culture, as well as understand aspects of their life that, at times, were not easy at all. The tour will take place with a maximum of 15 people per group. We will start our tour in the Kreuzberg neighborhood, in front of the main entrance of the Jewish Museum. We will go inside with the guide to see the permanent exhibition up close. Then, we will move by public transport to visit the New Synagogue of Berlin, which shines with its gold in the sunlight. We will visit the Jewish Cemetery, where we will not find any tomb, but a sculpture, since despite being a holy field, Germany dominated by the Nazi regime looted it in 1943. The tour of the Jewish quarter of Berlin is a perfect visit to learn many details about life before and after the persecution, for which many ended up in different concentration or extermination camps, such as Sachsenhausen.
